Medical Social Worker

Erin Vlietstra is a Licensed Masters of Social Work Erin completed her Master’s Degree at Western Michigan University where she currently serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Social Work. She has clinical experience in a wide variety of mental health areas and specializes in the treatment of adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, mood disorder, substance abuse and dependence, grief, and aging. She is an active member of the Suicide Prevention Action Network and Professionals Focused on Aging.

Erin’s psychotherapy treatment is eclectic. She approaches therapy with her patients from the perspective of a journey beginning with the conscious choice to make a purposeful life change. Together with her patients, she works collaboratively to help them reach their goals and find purpose. Erin commits herself to creating a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship while assisting each individual with pursing personal growth and development.
